The partnership classic — exactly four of you, in two pairs. Seats 1 and 3 are a side, 2 and 4 the other (the order the names are typed on New game; computers fill any empty seat). No bidding: just win as many tricks as your pair can.
- One pack, no jokers, thirteen each, dealt one at a time from the dealer's left. Ace high.
- The dealer's last card is turned face up for everyone to see. Its suit is trumps for the hand.
- The turned card stays face up until the first trick is taken. It's the dealer's own card.
- The deal moves one seat left each hand.
- The player left of the dealer leads the first trick.
- Follow suit if you can. If you can't, play anything — a trump wins the trick unless a higher trump follows.
- The highest trump takes the trick; if there's none, the highest card of the suit led. The taker leads the next.
+1for every trick your pair takes over six, once all thirteen are played. The first six score nothing.
0if your pair took six or fewer that hand.
- The first pair to five points wins (the short game). The table can choose a longer game on New game.
- If a player leaves mid-game the game ends there, with the scores as they stand.
On the felt: the strip at the top shows both pairs' points, this hand's tricks and the trump suit; "Scores" opens every hand so far. On your go the cards you can't play sit dim — tap one, then Play.
